WID Dredging and Plough Vessel

UKD Seadragon is a 27 metre Shoalbuster designed specifically by Damen Shipyards for UK Dredging. She is specified to provide  multi purpose dredging support with WID, bed-levelling, buoy handling and survey capability.

The vessel is diesel electric, with 2 x Permanent Magnet Water Cooled 750KW propulsion motors and a 145KW bowthruster.

Her principle duties are as a Water Injection Dredger and a bed leveller.  Her WID Skid and 10 metre plough is capable of working at a depth of 25 metres.

Fully equipped with DGPS and digital mapping her survey equipment is fully compatible with all of UK Dredging's fleet and able to act on a stand-alone basis. A Winch encoder accurately determines plough depth so that the combined package offers a complete survey and bed levelling service.
