Chief Engineer
UK Dredging require a Chief Engineer for their bed leveller/multicat vessel UKD Seahorse. Minimum propulsion power 954 Kw. This person must be a versatile, competent, all-round engineer with suitable STCW '95 qualifications. The main duties for this position are:
1. Promote, support and carry out all duties in accordance with the Companies’ documented Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems and Codes of Conduct.
2. Liaise with, report directly to and support the Ship’s Master and Engineering Department in relation to the management, maintenance and repair of all deck and engine room functions.
3. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Ø Planned and preventive maintenance of all ship’s equipment and systems.
Ø Report of status of planned maintenance programme, critical equipment and known defects to the Engineering Department.
Ø Control of status of Ship’s Statutory and Regulatory certification.
Ø Forward planning and purchase of ships’ spares and consumables.
Ø Preparation of dry-dock and maintenance period repair specifications.
Ø Support to Engineering Department during dry-docking and maintenance periods.
Work Pattern:
Nominal 12 hours per day as duties dictate.
14 days on duty, 14 days off duty.
